Your pet insurance premium can vary based on a few major factors. The number of pets you enroll, their breeds and ages, where you live, their genders,5 and whether they have any pre-existing conditions can impact the cost, as does your coverage selection.
MetLife Pet cat insurance policies can start at $9 per month for one cat, and dog insurance policies can start at $15 per month for one dog.6 Our family plan coverage allows you to add more pets for an additional cost.6

MetLife Pet Insurance offers a shared reimbursement, annual benefit, and deductible for family plans. That means you can customize the coverage for the policy as a whole, but the policy covers all pets under it.

After putting in your first pet’s information when signing up for a policy, you can select “Add another pet” at the bottom. Once you’ve added up to three pets, you can edit your plan type from “Individual Plans” to “Family Plans” in the top right corner.
