We know your pet is family, and finding the right insurance coverage matters. But comparing providers can take time.
To make things easier, we’ve broken down some key differences between MetLife Pet Insurance and the pet insurance you can get through Costco Wholesale®1. Read on to see how our coverage compares and find the best fit for your pet.
Costco’s Partnership With Figo
Costco isn’t a pet insurance provider — the company partners with Figo to give its members access to Figo’s pet insurance plans at a discounted rate. Costco members who request a pet insurance quote from Costco’s website will be directed to Figo’s website and then given the option to sign up with Figo as their provider.2
As an added perk on top of Figo’s coverage, Costco Executive Members may qualify for Lost Pet Recovery serviced by 24Petwatch®.1,2,3

Exam Fee Coverage
Exam fee coverage is included in your Metlife Pet standard plan. With Figo, you must purchase their optional exam fee coverage add-on plan to get reimbursed for vet exams.3
Multi-Pet Plan
MetLife Pet’s Family Plan4 allows you to put up to three pets on one policy with a shared deductible and annual limit.5,6 Figo only offers a discount when insuring multiple pets on individual plans.3
Supportive Coverage
MetLife Pet’s plan offers coverage for vet-prescribed food, lost pet advertising and rewards, grief counseling7, and parasite illness treatments — things that aren’t offered by Figo or need to be added.3

Just ask pet parents of Buffy, a 6-year-old cat. She was always so playful and energetic until she started throwing up often, acting lethargic, and wouldn’t eat much. Buffy’s parents took her to the vet. After an exam, X-rays, and blood tests, the vet diagnosed Buffy with lymphoma. The vet visit, diagnostics, and initial supportive care cost nearly $10,100.11
MetLife Pet covered $9,100 of the $10,100 bill.11 Get coverage, like Buffy’s family did, for your pets. Learn more about how MetLife Pet compares to Figo, or take the next step and get a free, personalized quote for a MetLife Pet plan now.
