Alan J. Percal, ASA, MAAA

Alan Percal is the AVP of Product at MetLife Pet Insurance, where he focuses on product strategy, growth, retention, and data. He has over 10 years of insurance industry experience, beginning as an actuary in human health insurance before entering the pet insurance world in 2021. He sits on the board of directors for the North American Pet Health Insurance Association (NAPHIA) as MetLife’s representative.

Alan is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and has a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Actuarial Science from Florida State University.

He lives in Indiana with his wife, three daughters, and dog named Mike. Outside of enjoying the time he spends with his family, he can often be found playing in poker tournaments.
